The Return of Annie Bates

Annie Bates has mysteriously disappeared from our famly for the last 10 years, but she has mysteriously returned with the birth of the newest member of the Hansen family - Little Abby J.

For those of you that don't know, the part of Annie Bates, in years past, was played effortlessly by my sister Ginger when BRyant was born. She loved that boy and wherever she was, he was. We all called her Annie Bates because of the way she always kept Bryant hostage. See exhibit A.

The roll of Annie Bates is now played by Angie White. I don't know if I will be able to play her quite as well as Ginger, as Abby J. resides in Oregon, but for the few days she was in SLC, I think I did a pretty good job.

Family Pics

So, my lil' sis is turning into quite the photographer! I like to tell myself I inspired this talent to blossom in her bosom, as I believe I was the first one to say "hey, I"ll bet you can take good pics, I trust you, do you want to take our family photos?". That was, I think, 4-5 years ago. She's since taken 3 our of the last 5 years of family photos, and I'm telling you, she's done every bit as good, if not better, than any of the professionals we've used.
So here you go, the loves of my life. Thanks Laur - you the beyst!

I love this one- it truly captures the essence of my three little "steps". It's a memory that I'll always have. When I think of having three boys, this is exactly what I'll think of (including farts & burps, you know...).

Halloween 08 - Part Deux

Okay, so this was really Part 1. We (Sales & Marketing) dressed up as Thriller, including decorating our area like a graveyard, complete with an abandonded street and movie theater (yes the billboard in the photo was actually in our area)! We had a blast- what creative, fun people I get to work with!

For those of you who haven't seen, here's Stampin' Up!'s attempt at Thriller for Halloween.

3 words for you: RESPECT THE LEGWARMER!

Another view....

Night School Musical

I think I grew up with most of these people...

Take a trip with me now, down the hallowed halls of Cyprus High School - Night School....

I swear "Wolf" was Natalie's dream man. Probably still is....

You can pause the music on the blog at the bottom so you can hear the video.

Halloween 08

All the boys made huge hauls, so I'm not sure if they've eaten a full meal since yesterday. My philosophy? Let 'em eat the candy and get it out of the house ASAP. Good luck tomorrow, Primary Teachers!

What's my philosophy on Trunk or Treats? I like to make my boys earn their candy the hard way. Heck if they're going to eat unusual amounts of sugar in an impossibly short period, I might as well make them get exercise while doing so, right?

Dad and Reese came over and I made navajo taco's and we also had doughnuts and root beer floats. We then watched Halloween H20 (edited version), which was hilarious. Whenever Michael Meyers came around, my dad's eye's were huge and it would be hard to get his attention. I wish I would have taken a picture.

Spencer trick-or-treated with about 4 other boys his age (poor Bro. McBRide who took them all around), and Boyd took Logan and Bry. Bry ended up ditching them when he found a group of girls from our ward and ended up finishing out the night with them.

It was a pretty quiet, but fun night. Now - I'm fully focused on Christmas - scary!

I WANT YOU!

To be in a cat fight....

That would be the boys' version of a cat fight. Lovely.
